Need Help Identifying

I found this possible gun part near the Battle Field of Olustee in North Florida. It is brass. About 4 inches long. The hole in the end is about 0.45 inches in diameter. See photos.

Thanks for your prompt reply. It looks like I found a tent guy tightenner not a gun part. There was a CCC camp on this site also.
Maybe it came from them. I don't think anyone camped here during the Battle of Olustee, but i maybe wrong.

I agree. The patent date on the one I posted is 1880, and it looks identical to the op's

I have found several of these at a Spanish-American war camp here. Some have patent dates on them and some are blank.
