I was messing around in my front yard playing with the ground balance on my detector, when I came across this hunk of metal buried about 12"+ deep in my yard. This thing is rather large and heavy, I would guess 15-20 lbs. I'm showing a picture of my hand next to it for scale. Any thoughts?

It does look an old coupling guide from a early traction engine, train etc. Tony

Thanks, that helps. My neighborhood was built on what used to be farmland, and I have dug old heavy farming/cultivating parts in my yard before, as well buried section of barbed wire before.
