Need help indentifying button!!!(PBK-HELP!)

I found this button some time ago in the area.Ive looked all through alberts and couldnt find anything on it...plus the shank is in the way of the eagle( I think its an eagle, maybe someone sees something i cant), so cant get a good view of it and subsequently there is no backmark(since the shank is on the "front" side) any info on this is greatly appreciated!!!

Although I can't see a lot of detail in the photos, I can tell you that it was fairly common for c. 1820-40 plain-faced, gilt brass coat buttons to have fancy backmarks— including some with wreaths, ribbons, stars, and yes, even eagles. So, my guess is that that's exactly what you've got. In fact, there are even some c. 1820 buttons which, on the back, have the same sort of eagle & shield device used on the front of U.S. Navy buttons of the period.
