Hello All. I found this woman's compact case at site that had several 1900's-ish homes on it.

I find this kind of item all the time and can generally find the vintage etc. on the internet, but his one has me stumped. The logo shows a woman phone operator which I guess makes some sense but what does woman's makeup have to do with shoes?

Let me know if you have any insight on this item and thanks for the view. C9

odd. I can't find anything at all on the net. I wonder if it was a short lived store label?

Hello kingskid. Thanks for the reply and comment, good idea, but I don't see any shoe shine hits either...and there is a broken mirror on the inside so I'm thinkin' it's gotta be a make up item. C9

Different item from Central Shoes: Vintage Old Antique Childs Clicker Toy Robin Hood Shoes Central Shoes Metal Tin | eBay
and I don't know if maybe the Robin Hood shoes might be easier to find items for, since they seem connected? Although I see other store names on shoehorns with this affiliation too. I don't know if they made shoes or sold them or?[/QUOTE

Hello nhbenz. Thanks for the link. I still cannot find much at all about Central Shoes...this one may remain a mystery. Good Luck out there. C9
