Need help on this huge button with a design, late colonial or early US

Found last week at the same spot the US Liberty Cap Half Cent was found. It has definite markings around at least part of the border, still has a shank, I did rebend it somewhat, it is about the size of a GW Inaugural button. What do you see? It was worn a long time as most of the device on the front is worn off.

Looks like a fancy border Dandy button, probably similar to the large 35mm brass dandy buttons shown below.

I think you're right. I thought I saw something in the middle put did some additional cleaning, and couldn't see anything else. The edge detail is easier to see now.
