Detector(s) used
coinstrike, tigershark, ace250, OLD radioshack
i'm going up to west virginia for a conference next week. i'll be there a few days. i'm traveling by plane. once my trip is over with, i doubt i'll ever be returning to same place again. basically once in a lifetime chance to hunt the place i'll be staying at which is a very large resort. i've already gotten permission to hunt the grounds.

here's my problem.. what detector do i take?
i have a fisher coinstrike with the stock coil, a tesoro tigershark with a stock coil, and an ACE250 with both the stock coil and the larger 9x12 coil.

the tigershark is out of the question. i dont feel safe wearing fullsize headphones in the woods and they are too cumbersome to wear on your neck.

this leaves me with the coinstrike or the ACE250. the coinstrike is a better machine but the ACE gives me the bigger coil which will cover more ground.

i'm leaning towards taking the ACE so i can cover more ground. what's your take on this?

Since you are leaning toward the ACE, I assume you aren't going to be wearing any headphones. This means every little beep will attract attention to yourself too. Wear the phones and keep your eyes open. You will better be able to hear the faint sounds with the phones.

i have a small earpeice i use with the ace and the coinstrike. i'm not worried about drawing attention to myself, its more like not being to hear whats going on around me. thats why i'm leary of taking the tigershark.
