Need help to ID this gold plated button

King George and I Found some good stuff in a farm field in Mass with other colonial coins and buttons,ect
Does any body have any idea about the gold plated button

Nice group of early finds there! Your button is a mid 18th century blow hole button. I never saw one with the plating like that. Nice Farthing too.

Romeo and I found similar larger blowhole buttons like that along with a 1723 Geo I ...I believe it was an early french site...Is it a french site you are detecting.

that pewter spoon looks really early too - I would hit that place hard - I smell a tree coin around there...

Love that spoon bowl. Can't tell from the pic if its pewter or latten, but in either case it's definitely 17th century. These "fig" shaped bowls were commonly associated with seal-top spoons of which there were many varieties, while others had squared off ends. There's a good chance there's a maker's mark near the base of the bowl near where it joins the stem, and that might help date it a little better. With some careful cleaning you might be able to see that mark. A lot of nice, early finds there.
