To me it looks modern and machine made.
What makes you say it's "an ancient silver roman ring"?

I'm with Mac, doesn't look ancient at all..

I only think, it's an ancient roman ring, because i find it in the plow land. And I think the SIL mark is Silvanus.

It has been cleaned, it was very dirty.

I used flash when i take these pictures, I think thats the problem why you look it like a new one. If it help tomorrow i take a picture in nature light

I show this ring an another treasure hunter site, and they said it's a rare ring. Somebody said, hed had same ring, but his ring hasn't any mark on the surface. He said its a rare ring. And it's a very good conditioned ring, not damaged.
