Has double U stamp both sides

Its almost like a tab its made out of zinc same as a bullet. Has stars going around yhe double U. Its a big U then a u in center under big U

It is definitely a lead seal or otherwise known as a bale seal and it looks like it reads C.I. Co or maybe I.C. Co

It could easily be contemporary with the Civil War period.

Its a bale seal found one similar from 1812

I think it is related to Carter's Ink Co. Like a part of the applicator of a mucilage tube. See these past threads:
