Its almost like a tab its made out of zinc same as a bullet. Has stars going around yhe double U. Its a big U then a u in center under big U

If turned sideways, it would be a large C with co in the middle.

I see an I or T also. Either IC Co, TC Co, CI Co or CT Co.

Yes it is C with co in middle what year is the seal?

It is definitely a lead seal or otherwise known as a bale seal and it looks like it reads C.I. Co or maybe I.C. Co

It could easily be contemporary with the Civil War period.

Its a bale seal found one similar from 1812
