Have been trying to figure out where this is from or what this is.

Sorry I could not get a better picture.

I figured fresh pairs of eyes and some more experienced could help.

I will try getting this kick started by saying it is Norwegian. The crest was a state issued one that first appeared as such when it was adopted in 1905. Your pin must date shortly after that year.

I looked up Norway and found it. The color is only thing throwing me off and it has not been repainted, so I was thinking maybe something else.

Could we see the back? Any markings, pin style, help. I'm thinking jewelry at this point, perhaps the designer borrowed the standing lion, changed the colors? But that is just an uneducated guess at this point. It is a lovely, detailed design - I'm guessing that there is a mark on the back somewhere?
