I found this old flat button this morning while MD @ the city park. Button is 1.25" across and has a soldered loop on back. The front has a "V" design around the border with a sun burst pattern in the center.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm guessing by what I've seen on identifying old buttons charts that this is a Colonial button from 1785-1800. The town it was found in was established in 1772.

It also appears to have a Sunburst. Which could also be North carolina state button from 1860's.
