Hello everyone..
anyone have ideas as to what this could be? It was found in a wooded area on an farm dated back to the early 1800's. Made of brass, overall length is 15" (maybe 16" if the shaft wasn't bent).The tip has 4 flutes and the shaft has threads on the end. It was buried in the ground at eight inches. I thought it could be part of a weathervane or something decorative because of being brass.
