What it sounds like is your sensitivity is too high and u might be in a bit of a trashy area. Which in all metal mode well make the machine go crazy and not make u too happy. Try this, set the sense to about 3 to 4 and scan the area on coin mode or jewelry model, I prefer jewelry. As long as the Nickel and the pulltab signals are not discriminated out ull find gold, and make sure the whole silver range is available. Now yes many other items will be under different signals, but after u eliminate the items u want first then u can go into all metal, ONLY IF UR LOOKING FOR IRON, if not just discriminate iron out. OO AND quick tip, the ace reads foil as foil, so if its screaming foil its definately foil!
