Send it back to Garret .. they will take good care of you and treat you quite fairly.

My girlfriend was using one of ours the other day and it quit working... I got bummed out for a minute but she opened it up and found a piece of the label (from the end :dontknow:) or something that was floating around in there, keeping it from getting contact and turning on... Works fine now.. Just a thought

Garrett must have either a large repair facility or a big dumpster. There seem to be quite a few posts about there pro pointer problems. Frank...

I have been giving serious thought to buying a Propointer (I currently use a Bullseye II) since a field test this week showed the Propointer had better sensitivity than my White's but I'm currently rethinking that in lieu of recent posts.

There might be a few with defects but thousands in use and working perfectly.

Mine works great! I would send it back.

+1 send it to garrett. they will repair or replace it cheaper than buying another new one for you. give them a call and ask them where to send it.

When mine quit working correctly I bought another right away. that is how much I like it. When I contacted Garrett they said send it in and we will replace it. Now I have a back up.

I have water proofed mine knowing I might mess it up. I do not care I like it that much. Garret is good to work with as everyone says. Things break. Good luck and keep us updated on how they take care of you

You actually waited til the one quit working as an excuse to buy a 2nd one? :laughing7: .. I have 2 myself, just in case 8-)

Actually last night I banged it against a chair and it started to work!!! Lol. Thanks for all of you suggestions though!

I agree on the thousands that work for years with no problems and I don't know about everybody else but I can't even count how many times during a day I turn mine off and on again. The ProPointer is a pretty impressive peice of equipment for the cost.
