Would a spray clear coat be the best way to preserve the paint on this old brass pin that had been plated? If so, which would be the safest to use over the paint; acrylic, enamel, or lacquer? Are there other options I should consider? Thanks. ???

On a piece like that, beeswax (from a craft store) would be the safest way to preserve it. . . short of not doing anything to it

Take care,

Thanks watercolor, I hadn't considered beeswax. It's the recommended for protecting some antique furniture finishes and paints. HH
