Hi,

I think this is a British military button, but I can't seem to find any specific information to determine from what time period. It's a two piece button, about 15/16" diameter, shank on the back. The back is rusted, so I can't get a maker's mark off it. I'd guess WWII vintage, but don't know.

How it came to be in a park in Minnesota is another mystery...

Thanks!

Re: Need help with button

I'm thinking civilian/blazer/fashion... the light infantry outfit by this name has a crown on the button and no words.

Just my opinion.

agreed the rusted back is the giveaway, they were copper-alloy or brass. Plus it has the 'look' of a modern blazer button.
