need help with pointy thing.

Found this today and i have no idea what it could be. Any guesses would be great. It's 7 1/2" long.











the hole at the top looks like it would hold a square head bolt. Bottom comes to a pretty good point

All the way from horse drawn mowing machines, and still in use today, except that rotary cutters have probably pretty much done away with the cycle bar mower.
