Possibly burned in a fire than thrown back into circulation. That's just a guess, most of them I find that color are from fires.

Ya think it could be a counterfeit?????kinda looks funky:laughing7:

when I clean my clad , you have to keep the dimes and quarters away from the pennies.... that quarter was in a tumbler with pennies.. lol

Someone tumbled it with some copper cents.

Off topic, but 66Fairlane, do you own a ‘66 Fairlane?

I own a ‘67 Fairlane GTA with a 390ci engine. I’ve owned it since high school. It’s 100% original and in pristine condition. I rarely drive it, but I like it as much as I like CRHing :)

Cheers

To both of you. I once owned a 66 Impala Super Sport Convertible. I'd give my lefty to have it again. That was without a doubt the most fun and cool car I've ever owned! Bertmaster, congrats for keeping your 67 pristine. Maybe you can share a pic? I'm probably not the only one that would like to see it.

This is the best pic I can get. The date on the photo is accurate. Believe it or not, but I live over a thousand miles from the place my Fairlane is stored. I’ve been paying storage fees for over 10 years, and if all goes to plan then I’ll be paying for about 14 more years until I retire. Then I’ll move my Fairlane to wherever I choose to retire, and I’ll drive it again.

Trust me, my wife reminds me each year when I write the storage check how silly it is to have this car I don’t drive, but to each their own...I’m a collector by nature, and I keep what I like (including my wife, ha ha).

By the way, the most fun cars I’ve owned were a ‘69 firebird 350 with a 4-speed and a ‘94 mustang GT convertible with a 302 and 5-speed. I sold the firebird to buy an engagement ring (still kicking myself for this because I didn’t end up marrying the girl), and I sold the mustang when my wife and kids no longer fit in it.

I’ll have a fleet of muscle cars when/wher I retire. My wife is aware of my plan and supports it! You can bet I’ll be making up for lost time and earning a few points on my driving record! ;)

Looks like a nice family. Car looks good too.

66 Fairlane, my apologies for helping to hijack this thread. I would not have done so if you had not already received a couple of credible answers to your query. Still, bad form. Sorry.

Love the car bertmaster2000, I had a white 1967 Mustang GT, with the 390 and 4 speed.... miss it sooo much, will have another one before I die for sure...
