Need help with Trade Token

Hello!

I dug this trade token downtown Eugene Oregon today. It's copper/bronze and about the size of a US quarter ~ it reads CAL-ORE. TAVERN WEED KLAMATH HGWY. // GOOD FOR 25c IN TRADE. I assume it's from Weed California, right? Does HGWY mean "highway"?

I can't find it listed anywhere!

Hey Neil,

Found a reference to the tavern, circa late 30's.

"Eventually he went to work down there for Cal-Ore (California-Oregon) Tavern on the California line. It was sort of a road house as we would call it today; it had cabins that you could rent. In fact, Al lived in one of the cabins. Al was assistant bartender there; I don’t know how long he stayed."
