Need Help with Vintage Garrett Hunter

Hello I picked up a vintage Hunter model in non working condition. I found one component
cracked apart. The one is the pic, the casing is black with no markings on it. Anyone know
what this component is? It measures open on my multimeter.
Anywhere to get a schematic for this detector? Thanks.

Take it to a tv/radio electronics repair shop. They can replace it. Got one just like it and they repaired it.
