Hello, I was looking for shark teeth this weekend at the peace river in Arcadia Florida. During the search we were in about 3 feet of water using shovels and sifters when I found what looks like a button but have no idea.

Thanks for any help.

Doesn't look like a button to me. Is it magnetic? You need to get all that black stuff off the bottom. Throw it in a cup of vinegar over night and then post pics tomorrow. You need more cleaning.

Hello, I cleaned it some and posted more pictures. It's also not magnetic. But it seems to have the back like a button but almost seems to be wood at the back because when it was wet it was soft and its hard now that it's dry.

Thanks

I does appear to be a Brass Stud for Upholstery. even the back is right for where the stitch would go.

It is a button from a bathing suit. I've found a few myself.
