Need ideas

Wondering if I could get some theories on these little morsels. Away from any habitation areas, lots of Sand. They were in an area about 5’ X 5’. They do stick to a magnet. Some kind of “slag”? Lightning hitting the sand? Reminds me of weld splatter, just can’t figure why it was there. Only thing around was 3 or 4 Old fenceposts with no wire.
