need info on detecting public parks

I was wondering if detecting in public parks in Alabama and Tennessee is legal without permission from the director of parks and recreation from the city park you are detecting? Any info on this subject would be appreciated.

I don't know but I see members that live in those locations that post in these forums. You could also do a yahoo or google search.
