Need input from wiser people on 2 coins

I found a buffalo nickel in a coin roll today. Normally I would classify it as a dateless but it has a S mint mark. I have never found one before and probably will not again. I want to put it in my folder. I believe it is a 1925 S but not sure. Below are a few pictures and any input will be helpful.

The clear 1925 is for comparison. I attempted to draw on red to show why I think the buff is a 1925 based on the curve on the base of a 5 and the slope of a 2 on the back side.



Also I found this 1958 D but not sure what is going on with the rim. Again any input would be helpful.

I think it is pretty clear that it is a 1925, and as an "S" it is a good filler. As far as the 1958-D nickel goes, I've never seen circulation wear do that to a coin before. There is the possibility that it is damage caused by an mechanical coin rolling machine. I don't think those are used anymore, but laundromats, car washes etc., used them as well as banks. We hand rolled coins where I used to work as a teenager, but I would see coins, especially cents and nickles, that had circular rubs on them. Coins like that aren't particularly valuable, but they are excellent pieces the add to your collection.

Circulation wear as in dryer coin. I've seen tons of them.
