Hi guys,

I've been detecting for a few years, but never for CW artifacts. Looking through the Official Records of the Union and Confederate Armies (see link below) I found mention of a Confederate campsite a few miles from my home. Could you experienced relic hunters point to some good sources that would help me locate this campsite?

Thanks in advance!

I can not speak for the rest of the forum, but you have found a great site for CW research. This is a great site, maybe it has been around and everyone knows about it, but I did not and this adds to my research for local forts in my area in SW Florida. I am going to do some diging to see if I can find anything out on the camp you are interested in. If there is any info that you can give me about the site please let me know. The more info I have to help you the better it is to get the research you need.

Thanks for the great website.
