Need silver coin ID--it's a longshot

Today I went through the pile of clad and junk I dug last year and found this odd coin. It's obviously very eaten, I guess that's why I paid no attention to it when it was dug. Today I noticed it sounded like silver, and sure enough I checked with the Deus, and it rings up a solid 92.

Here are some pics with measurements. The diameter is larger than a regular old silver dime. I placed it between a couple of Barbers for size reference. I'm stumped, but I'm sure it's a silver coin of some sort.

Any thoughts?

About as good as I can get with electrolysis and a rub with baking soda. Might be a lost cause. I'd just say it's a fried dime, but the diameter isn't right.

Personally, I'd keep going with the electrolysis--until that black is gone; but carefully watch so as not to 'fry' the coin.

I was worried it would start to disintegrate. I might try it again and see what happens.

Fried half dime ?

It's slightly larger than a dime, so couldn't be a half dime. It's a similar diameter to a nickel. I thought maybe could be a silver war nickel, but it rings up too high. It consistently rings up one number higher than a silver dime.

It's actually the size of a 1 real, but that can not be what it is.

Curious coin J Cache, the fact that it's holed does imply an early coin, rather then modern clad. To me it looks like a seated dime

(Unless it was flopping around in the ocean for a super long time)

It sure is smoked! I'm pretty sure it's silver though, sounds like silver on the detector, and when it clinks on the countertop. I agree it's probably unidentifiable. In that case, I'm going with prairie Spanish LOL
