I picked this up at a local garage sale this weekend and I'm not sure what it is. I mean, I know it's a bow but I have no idea of the origin. I'm an antique dealer when I'm not metal detecting so I decided to buy it because it gave me a good feeling. Most of the time my gut feelings are right but occasionally I'm wrong and have to bite the bullet. Anyway, as you can see it is painted with a nice appealing design and certainly gives me the impression of having some true age to it and not being fake. There are markings on each end where you can see that it was wrapped with a twine. The wood is quite light and not dense like hickory or oak. I don't know. I'd love to know more about this if anyone can shed some light.
