I found this among some other projectile points in upstate South Carolina. It is worked on all edges but I put it on my shelf because I didn't know what it could be. I picked it up recently and did some research and am now thinking an edge scraper. Thoughts?

Here's some photos of both sides and an angled view. It's beveled on one side. I also included it in my collection (third in from the left) for another angle.

That quartz makes it hard to tell in person sometimes, and nearly impossible in pictures if you aren't really family with the material and tools from the area.

I think Uni is spot on, Might well be.

I have found similiar forms in East Texas and La. It's too small to be used with fingers. As a tool it would have to be hafted or stuck into something for leverage.

My opinion... As thick as it is, I'd say it is a piece broken off a larger one--possibly the stem or the base of another point/tool.
