Can anyone help with this oil painting signature. I am doing a estate sale this sunday, and need some help asap. even if I get a starting point, it will help me a lot.

J.T.Johnson only worked in watercolors, at least that is all I can find out about her on the internet. Can you make out any letters in the name?

When I look at it, I see 'J. Downing'.

Is that a possibility?

the painting is over 100 years old. so it has to be someone from the late 1800's to early 1900's
