I have never dug an old outhouse (Privy) and probably never will, but for those of us who are uninformed about the ( above mentioned) dangers, could you please explain a little more? I found your statement very interesting and can not imagine what would be dangerous about it, therefore I am seeking a few more details.

Well first off, anytime you are digging a hole and getting in it,its dangerous.Privies are anywhere from several feet deep to many feet(depending on frequency of use I guess )Even a cave in waist deep can kill you
