the Andoid app "Rock identifier" tels "Variscite" . Do you know how to distinguish between "Variscite" and "malachite" ?

It looks silky in the picture, varisite I’ve only seen as a slab, so I dont think it’s ever a crystal, and your picture looks like possibly something like the start of a stalagmite. But I am looking at a picture! 😁
