Many companys try to get in on the action by coming out with coils they say are better than the oringal. Since cheaper materials are used with a lack of good quality control to save productions cost, you get something less than satisfactory. Stick to the Whites coils for the XLT and you'll find more money in my opinion.
 

I don't know about the goldfoot, but I tried several aftermarket coils for my DFX and wasn't overly thrilled with them. I got the best results when I stayed with a white's coil (1400DD).

I'm all for aftermarket items, but I'd tend to stay with the factory stuff if it's available or in your price range. Otherwise, grab the aftermarket stuff. Just keep in mind that not all companies have the same standards, like the sandman said. That being said, however, I put a 15" WOT on my excal 800... and i love it
