An interesting find today. It appears to be a bronze spigot that is old but I wouldn't think it would date back to the same era as all the other artifacts we have found at this site. Our estimation is the site is from 1760-1822 and then was wiped out by hurricane. Haven't found anything but modern shotgun shells and beer cans other than the colonial artifacts. I tried researching but bronze spigot on google is nothing but ads trying to sell me plumbing.
Anyone familiar with these?
