I think most people here are wanting a DD. I was because I wanted a very deep coil but I wanted to maintain separation with such a large coil. Plus for me my soil has a lot on minerals so that was another plus.
Don't get me wrong I've thought it would be nice to have one for the beach but most of my hunting is old sites that aren't clean.

The garrett 11 dd pinpoints awesomely on atpro you can work it fairly quick in the trash and it pp's as nicely as you could hope for you dont even need the pp button. The big nel dd's are naturally deeper but being bigger might not be so good in trash. If its a clean site with good chance of deepies you could consider the concentrics which are lighter, deeper, cost less, have tighter sweet spots, and pp better.

Took out the ATG and nel hunter Saturday and Sunday found 2 rings a bunch of clad not to much trash everything was awesome until the last park then my detector broke Down. I couldn't get her to stabilize I thought my 2 year old broke my new coil when she stepped on it so I switched coils and no go. I called the great people of Garrett and they had me send it in for repair or replacing. On a good note I did find a beautiful silver heart ring in the grass next to my driveway before I sent it in kinda eased the pain a little bit. I already miss my detector now I have to get out my faithful gtp1350 this week she is still one of the best coin/jewelry detectors around minus the vdi and perfect pinpointing but she has never let me down.HH
