Nevada Bighorns

I drove across Nevada last week and came upon this herd of Bighorn Sheep. At lest 4 trophy bighorns in this herd of about 20.

Wow, those are some brutes!! Where exactly in Nevada, if you don't mind me asking? If you do mind me asking then I completely understand!

This was not too far east of Tonopah. They were about 350 yards from the highway.

Colorado Sheep

I saw this guy early spring this year just south of Creede Colorado just after a visit to a silver mine. I slowly crept up, not to spook him. He sat still enough to give me a "What the hell is it you want kind of look" before he got up. I took the shot and let him get back to his sun bathing and apologized bugging him.

Cool. Before I saw them I was reading about a guy who paid $35k for a tag and another $6k for a guide. I just noticed someone paid over $50k on an online auction for a hunt. I guess there are 4 sub species but I couldn't tell you what the differences are.
