Nevada Desert

Not sure if this is the remains of an old salt mining operation, or possibly borax. ( didn't taste it.)
I pass by here once in a while, but took a notion to stop here yesterday morning.. Took one from the road, then climbed the fence and walked closer. Seemed pretty old with a lot of glass and crockery shards about. Also saw evidence where someone had dug the old trash dump.
