Nevada native American artifact, what is it?

My dad had this in a collection of stuff it was found near a lake where they found alot of other na artifacts. He also remembers his friends had found some of the same things made of the same rock and same size.

His original thought was maybe a weight for nets, I dont see it but figured I'd post here and someone may know.

Better pictures of several different angles would help immensely. What state helps as well.

A couple other angles would help, but it looks to have a some peck marks seen on some types of man-made items. That wasn't your question, but many of these posts involve items that are geofacts instead of artifacts.

Agreed. Pics needed, of the ends, over a black background if you can. Net weights should have notches on ends. Are there any notches. One end appears to, can't tell on the other. Probable many different types of weights. Cool find. They kept them for a reason.
