Never got a heel plate like this style and info would be appreciated. Thanks
For some reasons I don't think it's a heel plate. The center of the V looks raised, which would make it unstable to walk on.

Can you flip it over, for a photo. And size?

Looks like the same size.
But it would sure catch dirt/rocks in that Groove.
Should post it up in the what is it forum.
Groove would be against heel I believe the raised side the holes are counter sunk

The 2 hole end would be facing forward as the photo shows. So it would catch things like I said.
Unless I am not seeing something here, but I'm pretty sure that's is she of a heel. The rounded/narrow part at the back.
The left one yes a heel plate, right hand one would be a triangle heel

Nice!!! Congrats!!! Doesn’t look like a heel plate with the raised “V”. Holes look the same, but purpose doesn’t appear to be.

I agree with some of the other commenters above. I don't think it is a heel plate, but rather a latch plate of some kind- maybe hardware from a steamer truck. I will include a picture of a trunk which I believe to have functionally similar characteristics, but the shape is different.
