"new albany and floyd county parks banned"
I was metaldetecting in newalbany at comunity park last thursday and was told that it was illegal to metaldetect and was asked to leave. I called the parks department and asked about the rules concerning metaldetecting and she said it is illegal to detect in any floyd co. or newalbany parks. and she said they were starting to enforce that law. I have detected that park for 15 years and have never had a problem before. I think since across the river in louisville there banning detecting in 135 parks over there it is working its way over here. how do we get these old laws changed? If we dont try and change these laws then detecting and the deallers and makers of detectors will soon be a thing of the past?!?!?! Steve
