New at gold panning

Hello All
I just joined this website, read a lot of the post and like what I have seen. I'm new in this and would love to learn all I can from those that pan for gold. I have just joined the GPAA and cant wait to get started looking for gold.
Back in the early 80's after getting out of the USAF, I panned in Montana. I didn't get much but loved the thrill of hoping around the corner I would find a little gold. Well I'm 56 now and still have the desire to start my search again and could use all the advice given.
