New AT PRO

Well I recently decided to upgrade my old trusty Garrett Grand Master CXIII to a AT Pro. I kept reading about how far newer metal detectors have come along since the mid 90's but I was skeptical because I was still digging stuff up with the old green machine. I went out to the backyard which I have swept a dozen times with a 8.5" and a 12" coil on my old detector. I immediately started pulling clad out of the ground. I really couldn't believe it. Now I can't wait to go back to some of my old spots and see what else I missed. Boy I wished I would have upgraded sooner. Couldn't be happier.

My last spot was an old drive-in that operated from the 50's to the mid 80's. It was nicknamed pull tab alley. I spent many hours there with the cx3 and it was painful even with discrimination and surface elimination fine tuned. Going to wait until the 5x8 is in hand before going back.
