new Canadian $100 polymer "plastic" bill with clear windows

I am a coin and note collector and i have this uncirculated Canadian $100 polymer bill i am saving released in november. Eventually all of the Canadian bills will switch to polymer by late 2013, and this bill has the largest clear windows on any bill throughout the world. they are almost impossible to rip by hand and you can even put them in the wash and will be left undamaged, the polymer supposedly gets made in Australia with a giant polymer bubble 5 story's high to make the thin sheets, than shipped to Canada for printing. i have a Canadian bank note collection if you would like me to post another topic showing it just say. here is the link to the rest of my bank note collection http://forum.treasurenet.com/index.php?topic=448206.msg3165039#msg3165039

Wow , that is so cool , I worked in extrusion for 11 years and we often talked about when paper currency would be turned into plastic , thanks for posting :icon_thumleft:

I wonder if this type of new currency is counterfit proof? Will bills like this last longer than paper?

it would be very difficult to counterfeit but i'm sure people are still trying. and yes they will last longer than the average paper and cotton bill and can be recycled afterwords.
