New DD coil compatable with Ace 250?

I've read the reviews, but I have seen nothing specifically on this here or on Garrett's site. I'd like to get one, since I haven't found anything coin sized more than six inches with the 250, even with the monster 12" coil I use now.

Yes, I go slow, no discrimination, tried high and low sensitivity, still nothing small over 6"

I am hoping a DD coil will get deeper, as on really good days with moist ground I have found indians and V nickels.

At least until I can afford to replace my waterproof detector

In Garretts buyers guide the 8.5 x 11 PROformance DD coil will work on all the ACE detectors...... But you can always call Garrett at 972-494-6151 and ask them............ But yes it will work on the 150 & 250 & 350........

Thanks, I found the buyers guide a little confusing. I didn't want to spend $100 and have it not work. I have months more to consider, frozen ground here in Michigan.

from what i hear the 8.5x11 DD works very well, thats what the ace 350 comes with stock. pinpointing will take some getting used to with the DD

I have a 10x14 DD Excelerator coil on my 250. The deepest coin I have pulled with it was a merc at 7 inches. It was a pretty iffy signal too. But it did see it. Just remember, old doesn't always mean deep. All my 1800's finds have been less than 5 inches (on wooded sites).

Perhaps not, but I have dug every signal I get in my favorite park. The deep signals are the only ones left.
