Just purchased a new AT Pro (upgraded from ACE 150) and decided to take it out for a test run. Man that thing is pretty advanced compared to the old ACE’s...

Anyways, pulled $2.65 in clad from a state park. Pretty slow day but hopefully will have better stuff in the future. Hopefully will also find my first silver

Your off to a good start. Takes a while to get into the groove with a new machine.

Congrats on the new machine I'm sure you'll be happy with it and I have no doubt you'll be finding that silver in no time be sure to share it with us good luck

You will kill it with at machine. You will go through the batteries but find lots of goodies if you run it "wide open," i.e., All Pro mode, 40 iron discrimination, full sensitivity. That is how I have made my fortune with "Julio", my ATPro! Cheers, Sub 8-)

Nice!! That At Pro has a very lenient learning curve...jump around check all the different modes, and like Subterranean sez, those settings will net you lots n lots of goodies! Good luck, happy hunting, Ddf.

Congrat's and Best of luck to you with the AT Pro. You are off to a great start.

Set it in Pro mode zero, 32 dis -2 sens and learn the numbers. If you get an iffy signal just press mode to std coin and see what happens. That's what I do and that sucker will go deep!

Nice!!! Congrats!!!! Good luck!!!

Good luck with your new detector. I know your first silver is just around the corner.

My second target with my AT Pro was my first and only 1866 Shield nickel. Do you have the sport package with 5x8" DD coil?
Also, many state parks that allow detecting require you to have a permit. In Missouri, the permit allows detecting for only a few hours in the morning and only shorelines can be detected. Check your state parks websites for info. Hate to see you get fined or have your equipment confiscated.

Great machine hits well on coins watch the pop tops the vdi will jump many numbers you'll learn to know when you got one. Have fun hope to see some great finds

In WA, there are designated areas for detecting, but the rangers are pretty lenient

congrats on your new machine, I love my AT PRO! Get the 5X8 coil, it's great!

I have had my At Pro for almost a year and have found some nice coins and relics. It is a great machine for the money. I love the pro zero mode and usually run it with no dicrimination.. Choose your spots carefully, swing slowly, and learn the tones, and the silver is inevitable. I found a 1949 Washington my first hunt. Good luck!

You'll have excellent "luck" with that machine!

The AT Pro was my first machine and I found tons of silver coins with it. Be sure that you are using pro mode, you can start in pro coin and then eventually switch to pro zero.

Good to hear when I take a road trip to WA. Our State parks are generally off-limits except for the ones at the beach, which I've never had a problem with. Some of our County parks prohibit detecting too. Mostly grass areas. Others are wide open.
