Since gold rings and coins of different countries are alloyed with many different conductive metals the detectors will always be hindered in being truely accurate in ID'ing targets on a meter. To many idiots are sending detectors back to the factory because if it says DIME on the meter, it had better be a dime. Lighter weight is always a step up.
