Per the US Mint, the new President 1$ coins will be put in circulation in the order that the presidents served, 4 per year, starting with GW on Presidents Day weekend 2007. Mint says coins will be same size, weight, color and metal content as Sac dollars.

I bought a roll of these new Washington dollars Thursday. They look pretty cool...especially the outside rim. I went to pick up a box of halves I ordered and the teller told me they just got them in and showed me one. I didn't know anything about them so I just bought a roll. I think I will buy a roll of each president.

I looked it up on the internet when I got home and they showed the Nixon to be the last one in the year 2016. They probably will make a good collection one day.

I'm going to ask my bank for some tomorrow. I didn't know they could sell them before next weekend.

Hey, I thought the new dollar coins were the First Ladies. Geez, I must be losing it big time. LOL No living presidents can be depicted on official coin and currency, so that's why Nixon is the last in the series. Unless one of the surviving former presidents dies between now and 2016 I suppose. Hey, does this mean the Amero was just a rumor?

Thanks Jake, I knew I read about the First Ladies on coins somewhere. I'd rather see them on coins than some of their husbands. LOL

I didn't know they were out yet either. Gonna call some banks tomorrow.
