New dude

Hello, I'm Dan from Alexander NC just above Asheville. I am a new dude to this site. I did a little MDing at an old plantation in New Iberia Louisiana,in Polebridge Montana! And parts of Utah and Colorado and Arizona this Spring. I've mostly found clad coins and old iron. Is there a local club or anyone who wants to go detecting? I'm new to this hobby but have been employed in the past as an archaeologist for approx 7 years and have worked for various museums. I have an old turpentine plantation here and other places in the family over in Louisiana to detect. I'm looking for other people to detect with in the surrounding areas of NC, Tenn., and any other local haunts. I also own a sluice box, and I'm also a member of the GPAA. Dan
