I ordered my new Etrac yesterday and it should arrive in 2 days, on Saturday. I downloaded the instruction manual and read half of it just now. I got my Xterra 705 about 3 months ago (first detector) and already decided to upgrade...crazy huh? This is actually a third detector since I ordered a Fisher F2 for my GF to use sometimes and to take with me is someone, like my dad, wants to go with me. My girlfriend thinks I am nuts and I have OCD...LOL!
I am glad I got the 705 as my first detector before I ordered the Etrac. I am now familiar with a lot like the pinpointing, discrimination, notch, multi-tones, etc., so I can now learn and focus on the advance features which set the Etrac apart from the 705.
I am sure everyone has the local park or spot they hit and have cleaned out, and I can't wait to hit the couple near me and see what more I can find in spots I thought i hunted out with the 705.
The Etrac is not light and I heard you have to swing slow. I am probably going to sell the 705 and the F2 and get one good lighter-weight, fast swinging detector to compliment the Etrac. I took the F2 out a couple times and it was fun using something different occasionally. Anyone else do that?
Any ideas on a good, fast swinging, lighter-weight detector? $700-$1200 range?
I was thinking anywhere from a DeLeon or an F75 or
