My new yard is 5 acres right here on the side of the old highway 60 put in in 1913. And my neighbor has 380 acres in this same area. I'm thinking surely find something. Any thoughts?

OK family graveyard the headstone I could read was 1801. It is log cabin with mud morter and chimney is just stacked sandstone here are some pics.

That's exactly the reason I went back to bare bones machine. I relied too heavily on the screen...not my ears.

Just about any old map would confirm a small town for you. Let me know if you need help tracking one down.

I've found a few that resemble yours in a Civil War camp. Stars are on the backside, front side is featureless.....referred to as a flat button. Is the front of yours just plain and flat? Hey, that's a nice find, nice job. How deep?

That is the front the back is nothing but like a stem were it would be sewn on. And found several nails and some other stuff idk what it is. I'll take pic of all it and post it.

OK and yes, a photo of the shank will help age the button.

One is like at 22 short all that's on it is a U. On the top there was 2 but when I was trying to see it it crumbled in my hand.
