Another darn new guy. Hi Y'all. This is my first post and I've enjoyed reading all of yours. Y'all are entertaining and have some great tips. I found seventy-three cents in newer coins and a bunch of junk in a city park that was built in 1944. I think it's been hunted before :). Not to be discuraged....I shall return!
I hunt with a Titan 2000 XD and have noticed that NO ONE ELSE DOES !!!
Hmmmmm......makes me wonder? I've had it for a year now and have been digging targets up to 10". This machine retails for about $300, but I got it as a demo for $150. Since this is my first machine, I don't know how it "measures up" to others in this price range (feel free to be brutally honest). I've been happy with it though.
I'm not really in the market for a new one right now, but just for giggles, what do y'all think would be a "logical" next step up?
Thanks for any feedback. Love the "new finds" section. I read every day.
Enjoy the pic., if it shows up. It's a cell phone pic. I have not yet invested in a digital.

WELCOME TO TREASURE NET! :) I don't know if its a step up, but I love my Garrett ACE 250. Retails for about $250, and I will bet that it is as good, if not better, than your machine you are using right now. I've heard nothing but good things about it all over the boards here. Happy Hunting...you're well on your way to finding bigger and better treasure! Don't foget to post those great finds on here, once you discover them!

Thanks PA. I have heard great things about the 250, I'll keep that in mind for sure. I hope to post better finds in the future. Just thought I'd get my feet wet.

Welcome to Treasure Net Ima! I've been unable to go detecting at all recently, so your finds look good to me! I can only dream about detecting for a while!

Ima... Most of those finds look way to familiar to me....Because I've dug plenty.

BTW I'm still going for the pull tab record!!!

Hang in there the finds will come....HH 3s

MJ Nice stunt double !

It's a Radio Shack 1100 or 2200.......under the 3300......150.00 uhhh.......but it got you in to MD'ing............Titan is kind of a scam I think.....they cost a bit more for the same as Radio Shack......but at the same time it works......glad you got it at a discount.

Learn the machine, then move up a bit.......then ebay it.
I used a 3300 for about a year they make pretty good finds....

Ima,

I'm more of a Tesoro fan myself. I would recommend the Cibola anyday. Though, the only true All Metal mode available on the machine is by holding the pinpoint button down. Though, it tends to be a more expensive MD than yours, it is great. Tesoro also makes some more inexpensive MD's I would highly recommend as well.

I bought this detector because it is made by Bounty Hunter and alot of people seem to use this brand. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll take it all to heart.

MJ - The stunt double is hilarious. Nice job.

use it till you feel you need another one....nothing wrong with it.....i just recently moved to tesoro......but the old BH was a killer machine.....in fact my back up detector is a ancient BH Treasure Tracker.......it has found gold and silver and its 20 years old!

As long as you're finding stuff and up to 10" as well, then I wouldn't worry too much. BH, Tesoro, White's, Fisher, Titan, RS, or the Super Dooper Coin Shooter---they all work. The key is get used to what you have, learn it's characteristics, and get proficient with it. Then if you want to move up or on to another brand, you'll have some experience as to what you're doing.
